                                GUIDE REPAIR

Repairing Rod guides can be an expensive trip to the tackle shop for some of us this is an option, for some of us its not,and for others like my self, like to do it ourselves.
You Will Need:

The appropriate sized guide. These can be brought from tackle       shops and outlet stores.

    Binding thread or thick cotton.
    Electric Tape,
Two Part Epoxy Resin or the missus's  Nail Polish at a pinch.

Steps:

  1.     Tape the guide in place in line with the rest of the guides.
  2.    Using a suitable binding thread lock the tag end under the first few wraps.
  3.     Wind up to the foot of the guide leaving a few wraps short. continue to wrap over         looped end.
  4.     Cut your main binding and place the tag end through the loop which you have now wound over. Now pull the tag end so the loop end pulls the tag beneath the binding.
  5.     Carefully cut the tag end without placing knife pressure on the rod.
  6.     Protect the binding with Epoxy.

    Repeat for opposite side.
