Pay close attention to the suction and wash patterns of the rocks.Fish use these areas to bring them fresh food from the rocks and is an invaluable tool for burleying an area.

A good method of fishing is using prawn with a size 01 sinker directly above the hook generally 0/1-0/3 for BLACK DRUMMER,TREVALLY,BREAM etc. A bread based burely mixed with sea water mashed up and handfuls periodically can bring excellent fishing right to your feet.

A reel with a retrieve rate of 9-1 is ideal,incorporate a side to side motion with the rod tip to impart an enticing action on the lure.

Ballooning  Can be an exciting form and is a good way to keep a live bait in the strike zone. Fish with an off shore breeze in conjunction with an out going tide to get you livey out up to a km where it can be picked up by a SPANISH MACKERAL or COBIA. A peg can be used to release the live bait on the strike with a short trace and a bit of Aussie ingenuity.

With the larger fish use a gaff 3-4 meters long, a sliding gaff can be used when fishing from cliffs.Sliding Gaffs follow the line down to the fish and slide over the head of the fish.they are similar in appearance to the Teddy bear grabbers at the arcade that never give you a reward,but a sharpened sliding gaff will give you a good prize!
